The late lawmaker, who was elected on June 26, 2023, under the All People’s Congress (APC) ticket, was described by colleagues as a principled and dedicated public servant. His death has sent shockwaves through Parliament and his home district of Kambia.

He attended Kambia District Education Community Primary School, Government Secondary School Madina, Sierra Leone Muslim Congress Secondary School, and Methodist Boys’ High School in Freetown. He later obtained a B.Sc. in Theology, an HTC (Secondary) in Physical Health Education, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and was awaiting a Master’s degree in the same field.
Before entering Parliament, Koroma served as Personal Assistant in the Ministry of Agriculture (2012–2013), Subject Teacher at Evangelical High School Wellington, and Supervisor at Mount Everest Security Agency, among other roles. His career was marked by service, humility, and a strong commitment to education and community empowerment.
