Authorities in Sierra Leone have announced the nationwide enforcement of mandatory registration for foreign nationals, in a move aimed at strengthening migration management and improving national security oversight.

In a public notice circulated on social media, officials said enforcement measures are now being rolled out across the country, requiring all foreign nationals to comply with registration procedures.
No further details were immediately provided on penalties for non-compliance or the timeline for completing the registration exercise.
The announcement has been widely shared online under the hashtag #SaloneBigPassWiAll, though authorities have not yet issued a detailed public briefing outlining implementation guidelines.
Sierra Leone has in recent years taken steps to strengthen documentation and monitoring of foreign residents as part of broader administrative and security reforms.
