The outgoing Chief Executive Officer of Orange Sierra Leone, Sekou Amadou Bah, paid a farewell courtesy call to President Julius Maada Bio on Monday at State House, following the completion of his four-year tenure.

During the meeting, Bah formally introduced his successor, Aicha Toure, and assured the President that the company’s partnership with the government would remain strong under her leadership.

Bah expressed gratitude to the President for providing an enabling environment for business and thanked Sierra Leoneans for supporting Orange Sierra Leone. He highlighted collaborative achievements over his tenure in areas such as education, digital inclusion, infrastructure, and health.

“As a company, Orange Sierra Leone is committed to impacting lives, from the construction of schools and hospitals to investments in infrastructure and digital learning centres,” Bah said.

Toure, the incoming CEO, pledged to build on the successes of her predecessor and reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening the telecommunications sector and empowering young people through innovation and digital solutions.

President Bio thanked Bah for his service and acknowledged the company’s contributions to the government’s Human Capital Development and Digital Inclusion priorities. He welcomed Toure and emphasized the importance of a strong, mutually beneficial partnership between the government and telecom operators.

“This is home, and you are welcome to Sierra Leone,” Bio said, urging operators to provide quality and competitive services while assuring continued government support.
