More News

As part of efforts to support education within the Kissy community, Hon. Princess Kadie Daramy, in collaboration with Councilor Amadu Kargbo, organized a school item donation program at the Saint Theresa Primary School compound on Bai Bureh Road, Freetown.

The event, sponsored by Kings Foam Mattress Factory located at Black Hall Road, Kissy, targeted pupils from deprived families, particularly those living within the vicinity of the factory. A total of 62 pupils drawn from various primary and secondary schools benefited from the initiative.

Items donated included school bags, books, pens, and geometry sets, aimed at easing the financial burden on parents and encouraging continued education among underprivileged children.

Community stakeholders, parents, political party representatives, and officials from the sponsoring company attended the ceremony, commending the initiative as a meaningful contribution to local development.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Princess Kadie Daramy urged community members to embrace development initiatives regardless of political affiliations.

“Development should never be viewed through political lenses,” she emphasized. “It does not ask who benefits from it — what matters is that it uplifts the community.”

The donation program is part of ongoing efforts by Kings Foam Mattress Factory and local leaders to strengthen corporate social responsibility and community development in Kissy.
