Mobile money users in Sierra Leone can retrieve their Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) tokens through Orange Money’s USSD platform by following a series of steps on their mobile phones.
Customers are required to first locate and copy their EDSA transaction ID from their phone messages. They then dial #144# and select the “Make Payments” option from the menu.
From there, users choose the EDSA option and proceed to “Check EDSA Token.” When prompted, they enter or paste the transaction ID before confirming the request.

An SMS containing the electricity token is then sent to the user immediately after confirmation, according to service instructions shared by Orange Money.
The process is part of efforts to improve access to prepaid electricity tokens and reduce delays for customers who may not receive tokens after completing payments.
