Leone Stars Head Coach Mohamed Kallon has launched early training sessions in Freetown ahead of Sierra Leone’s decisive final-round matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
The sessions bring together home-based players and a handful of foreign-based talents currently on off-season, with a focus on boosting fitness, technical skills, and tactical coordination.
The early start is aimed at building team chemistry and readiness as Sierra Leone prepares to face Guinea Bissau and Ethiopia in September, followed by Burkina Faso and Djibouti in October.
Adding to the camp’s momentum, National Teams Ambassador Christian Dauda, who flew in from England, is present to observe and support the squad. Dauda has been instrumental in championing the national team both locally and internationally.
Sierra Leone currently sits third in Group A with 8 points, trailing Egypt and Burkina Faso. With the race for qualification heating up, every upcoming match will be crucial in Leone Stars’ bid to make World Cup history.
