More News

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has reported a break-in at its Secretariat store in Freetown, where audited financial documents were being kept.

According to the SLFA, the incident was discovered in the early hours of Monday, August 11, 2025, and is believed to have occurred over the weekend. The matter has been reported to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which has launched an investigation. No suspects have been identified so far.

As part of the probe, three SLFA Secretariat staff members — including the Finance Officer — who reportedly visited the premises during the weekend have been invited by police to assist with inquiries.

In a statement, the SLFA condemned the break-in and pledged full cooperation with law enforcement agencies to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.

Further updates are expected as the investigation continues.
