The Sierra Leone Football Association said the application process for the Leone Stars head coach position has officially closed, drawing a total of 79 applications.
In a statement, the association said the applications were received by the May 12, 2026 deadline, with three submissions from local candidates and 76 from foreign applicants.
The SLFA did not immediately disclose a shortlist or timeline for the next stage of the recruitment process, but said further updates would be communicated to the public.
The recruitment comes as the association seeks to appoint a new coach to lead the national team in upcoming regional and international competitions.
