Residents of Falaba District say poor road infrastructure is severely affecting access to essential goods and services, leading to shortages and rising prices across the district.
Community members report that the condition of roads, particularly during difficult weather conditions, has made transportation of basic commodities and medical supplies increasingly challenging.
Health workers in several Peripheral Health Units (PHUs) say the situation has disrupted the delivery of critical medicines, raising concerns about the impact on healthcare services in remote communities.

Traders and transporters also say the poor road network has significantly increased the cost of moving goods into the district, with the added expenses passed on to consumers.
Residents warn that unless urgent action is taken to improve road infrastructure, the situation could worsen, further isolating communities and deepening economic hardship.
Local authorities have yet to publicly respond to the concerns.
