The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Mr. Babadi Kamara, has officially presented FIFA badges to ten referees and assistant referees approved to officiate international matches in 2026.

The ceremony took place on Wednesday, 4 February, at the SLFA Headquarters in Kingtom, marking a significant milestone in the Association’s efforts to strengthen officiating standards and elevate Sierra Leone’s presence on the global football stage.

The FIFA list includes five centre referees and five assistant referees from Sierra Leone, comprising six men and four women, reflecting the SLFA’s commitment to gender inclusion and the development of female officials.

Addressing the officials, Kamara congratulated them and urged them to uphold the highest standards of integrity, fairness, and professionalism. He emphasized that their conduct on the field not only impacts matches but also represents Sierra Leone football internationally.
