The Sierra Leone Football Association has appointed emergency disciplinary and appeals committees to handle disputes arising during the ongoing FA Cup competition, the body said in a statement on Monday.

The SLFA said the move, in line with Article 32 of the FA Cup Rules and Regulations, is aimed at ensuring the swift and fair resolution of protests, disciplinary matters and appeals.

The Emergency Disciplinary Committee will be chaired by Alex Bhonapha, with Khadijatu Maligie Kamara serving as vice chairperson. Other members are Cyrus Sheriff, Osman Kholie Conteh and Adams Tommy.

The Emergency Appeals Committee will be led by Tamba Kellie, alongside members Mohamed Sallieu Bangura and Zacharia Fornah.

The SLFA said the disciplinary committee would adjudicate on all protests and disciplinary cases, while the appeals committee would hear and determine appeals, with its decisions deemed final.

The association expressed confidence in the competence and integrity of the appointed members and said it expected them to contribute to a transparent and successful FA Cup competition.

The statement was issued by the SLFA’s Media and Marketing Officer, Lamin Tarawalie.
