The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has signed a sponsorship agreement worth more than 250 million leones ($—) with telecommunications firm Orange Sierra Leone for this year’s FA Cup competition.
Under the deal, the knockout tournament will be rebranded as the Orange FA Cup 2026, marking what the SLFA described as the first major corporate sponsorship secured for the competition in its history.

The agreement was signed on Tuesday at the Orange Conference Hall at Hill Station in Freetown by SLFA President Babadi Kamara and Orange Sierra Leone Chief Executive Officer Aicha Touré. The ceremony was attended by Sports Minister Augusta James-Teima and senior officials from the National Sports Authority.
As part of the partnership, Orange Sierra Leone will serve as exclusive title sponsor of the competition and will sponsor the Man of the Match award, with branding rights attached to the tournament.
The company will also provide Closed User Group mobile packages for SLFA staff and install 60 Mbps high-speed fibre internet connectivity at the association’s headquarters in Kingtom, aimed at improving internal communication and digital operations.
In addition, the agreement includes football-focused digital services and the integration of Orange Money for ticket sales, player bonuses and other cashless transactions during the competition.
SLFA officials said the deal reflects growing commercial interest in domestic football and forms part of broader efforts to enhance the profile and financial sustainability of the sport in Sierra Leone.
Further details of the competition schedule and prize structure were not immediately disclosed.
