The Managing Director of the Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO), Ing. Tiideni Hawa Jabbi, has conducted an inspection tour of the Blama, Bandawor, and six other villages water supply project at Wanjei River, aimed at fast-tracking completion of the long-standing infrastructure initiative.

The project, which began in 2015, is designed to provide safe and reliable water access to residents of Blama and surrounding communities. The visit highlights SALWACO’s commitment to monitoring ongoing projects and ensuring timely and effective delivery.
During the tour, Ing. Jabbi was accompanied by the Director of Operations, Ing. Abdul Ben Lebbie, and Director of Project Management, Ing. Yankuba Jusu Tarawally. The Director of Operations provided a technical briefing on the project’s scope, progress, and challenges.
Speaking at the site, the Managing Director emphasized the importance of first-hand assessment to identify practical steps needed for project completion. She reiterated that access to safe water is a fundamental necessity and stressed SALWACO’s commitment to addressing challenges, enhancing project supervision, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring accountability in the delivery of water infrastructure.
SALWACO continues to focus on revitalizing stalled projects and expanding sustainable water services nationwide, with support from the Government of Sierra Leone.
