In the early hours of Friday 24th Junuary , Police at Calaba Town stormed the Elevation High School at Mayekineh ,Calaba Town Feetown to coil down that they described as riotous conduct and pulic disturbances by Pupils of the School.
The Officer Commanding of Calaba town police station DSP Esther Kefason together with her team were able to forestall law and order among the angry Pupils.
As the responded so quickly to stop the ugly incident at the school, a convoy police truck sped towards the school, sirens cutting through the streets as they arrived at the chaotic scene.
Reports said before the arrival of the Police , Pupils were spilling out the main building of the school; some of them were chanting ; while others were hostile ;throwing stones and whatever they could lay hands on. ‘’others were running around in all directions, some teachers were trying to restore order but were outnumbered and overpowered by the Pupils’’ an eye witness told Public Review.
The cause of the incident was not clearly know; but reports say the Pupils were protesting against some actions of the School’s administration and the Community hosting the school . Few people; including pupils were arrested and taken to the police station for further investigation.
