DON’T FEEL GUILTY
(Motherhood Episode)

Before motherhood, I was the praise and worship leader in my church, won’t miss church services. Even if I was sick I will still drag myself to all night of prayers even if it means me just laying on the alter. If not all the time I will be the last to leave church on Sundays either talking to or counseling someone. Before now I will attend and MC wedding receptions, church and other programs.

Excitingly motherhood they say change your life completely; and I totally agree. Interestingly I started feeling guilty that I am not as “committed” as I used to be. However, this inner joy popped from the inside remembering that I gave it all when I was single and without a biological child.

So what am I saying? Have you found yourself in my position? Do not feel guilty because you cannot serve the way you used to. I understand this season of your life is occupied with raising a child or children- please understand that you are already serving powerfully. Parenting is not a distraction from ministry—it is a whole ministry.
All the meals you prepare, every prayer you whisper over your child or children, all the lessons about love, kindness, faith, and discipline is shaping the life or lives that belongs to God and handed over to as a caretakers.

The night life, the sacrifices , the guidance, and the love you pour out are acts of service. You are nurturing leaders, saints, and destiny changers.
The Lord sees your quiet sacrifices. He sees the moments no one appreciates and the pure love no one else notices. Raising children is one of the most meaningful callings a person can walk in. So in the words of a dear friend “give yourself grace in this season”.

Today, your ministry may not look like it was before, but it is no less holy, valuable, or no less important.

As you go this week, You are not abandoning your life of serving God but rather you are serving Him in one of the most priceless way. And as you serve in this new way, always remember “…whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17 ESV.

Don’t forget to smile coz it looks good on you.
