Sierra Leone’s President, Dr. Julius Maada Bio has appointed Hon. Justice Komba Kamanda as Chief Justice replacing Justice Nicolas Brown Marke who has been acting in the position for about a year now.
Brown Marke replaced sacked former Chief Justice, Hon. Desmond Babatunde Edwards who has now been appointed Ambassador to Dublin, Ireland.
Komba Kamanda is a trained and experienced Lawyer who became Magistrate in 2005 shortly after his legal education at Fourah Bay College between (2000 to 2003) and the Sierra Leone Law School (2003 to 2004). Later, he was promoted to Senior Magistrate in 2008 and later Acting Principal Magistrate in 2011.
Again, he was appointed high Court Judge later after several years of his practice as Magistrate.
