As we all could recall that August 10 Protest was one of the worst protest Sierra Leone had ever experienced since independent. The hearts of the protests were in the capital, Freetown, and in northern part (especially in Makeni and Kamakwie). The protests were triggered by the nation’s cost of living crisis and calling on President Bio to resign. Just after the protest subsided, the Vice President of Sierra Leone, Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh issued a nationwide curfew order.
The protest left over 27 civilians including 6 Police officers dead, and a lot of properties including private and government properties were destroyed. Meanwhile, after the riot, President Bio accused the opposition for being the pillar of financing/ sponsoring the protest. He also put more emphatic accusation to Adebayor, a Sierra Leonean citizen base in Holland.
Some state securities accused Mohammed Barrak Koroma a resident at Congo Water in Freetown and her wife Abigail Mariam Bangura were accused of been part of the organizers in Freetown. Also, state securities were generally accused of involving in the Killing of police officers.
During the August 10th 2022 protest, Koroma’s brother and wife were killed; Koroma and others including her wife where among the people declared wanted by the Sierra Leone police.
For this reason, at present Mohammed Barrak Koroma and his wife and other people are nowhere to be seen/ found while others citizens were arrested and charge to court, Koroma and his wife left their four children and went to an unknown destination out of the country.
