PARLIAMENT RECEIVES VEHICLE FROM UNOPS

Following the completion of refurbishment of the Parliament Building, the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) on Monday, 03/ 03/ 2025, donated a Toyota Hilux to the Parliament of Sierra Leone.

Receiving the vehicle and it’s particulars on behalf of the Parliament of Sierra Leone, the Deputy Clerk of Parliament, Mr. Gilbert Bosco N’habay said the donation was timely.

The Deputy Clerk of Parliament expressed gratitude to UNOPS for their invaluable support, stating, “We want to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the management of UNOPS and that the vehicle will be utilized appropriately for utility purposes.”

The Director General of Parliament Mrs. Finda Findosia Frazer explained the genesis of the UNOPS project and informed that, it was expected that the working relationship between the two entities will continue. She informed that there was agreement between UNOPS and Parliament, in lieu of the transfer of ownership of the vehicle when the project is completed.

It could be recalled that,  the project to refurbish Parliament was implemented by UNOPS with  funds from European Union.
