After publishing my second article on the concerns raised by the people of Falaba District regrading the poor network affecting both Orange and Africell, and also stating that  Orange remained quiet on the issues raised,  two people who said they worked for Orange reached out to me and promised to investigate and fix the problem.

One Mr.Lansana Sillah,Network Engineer and Desmond, a staff member said they were reaching out in relation to the network problem the people of Falaba District had complained of that I had raised.

The network engineer requested that I give him some phone numbers of the  people affected in the various towns and villages, and I gave him a few phone numbers.

Some of the people informed me that Mr.Sillah  called them regarding the issue, and he promised that Orange Sierra Leone would conduct a thorough investigation and do everything to fix the problem.

Additionally, Desmond told me that they would  identify the problem and make a permanent fix. I also want to thank them for reaching out regarding this issue.

Now that both mobile operators, Orange Sierra Leone and Africell have promised to investigate and fix the problem, I want to inform both companies that the people of  Falaba District are looking forward to experiencing an improved, effective and efficient network system that would enable them do their normal business and communicate effectively with their relatives and loved ones.

This is because many young men doing money transfers in the various towns and chiefdoms had complained that they  were facing challenges in carrying out their business due to the poor network problems while the ordinary citizens had said they would sacrifice and buy top-up for their phones yet they couldn’t communicate effectively.

I implore both mobile operators not to disappoint the people in that district as many people’s livelihood hinges on transactions or businesses related to communications facilitated by both Orange SL and Africell.

Therefore, mobile operators must understand that their services  in any society especially in our country, are very important and affect the lives of everyone,  hence they should make efforts  to maintain the effective functioning of their mobile networks  system right across the country.

Before I rest my case let me remind both companies that after publishing my first article, many Sierra Leoneans living in  Kono,Koinadugu,Makeni,Freetown and other places reached out to me explaining that they too were facing the same problem..

Based on the widespread complaints about poor network system across the country, I think it will be a wise idea for the leaderships of the various mobile operators to serious ly look into these problems and come up with sustainable and effective solutions to this perennial problems. The people of Sierra Leone deserve better service from you.

To the government, please the relevant ministry and agencies should pay attention to the cries of the ordinary Sierra Leoneans, especially on such things that hinge on the lives of everyone in the country.

The agencies meant to monitor these mobile operators must up their games for the benefits of the citizens of the country.

Let the Sierra Leoneans get and enjoy the services they are paying for.

I am keenly looking forward to the investigations and fixing of the network problems the officials of the mobile operators primised, and I will definitely get feedback from the people of  the district.

I rest my case.
