Sierra Leone’s National Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NPRA) said it remains the only institution authorized to announce petroleum pump prices and confirmed that the approved nationwide price for petrol and diesel remains unchanged at NLe 32.00 per litre.

In a public notice issued on Thursday, the regulator said fuel prices are determined in consultation with the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Finance.

“The approved pump price remains at NLe 32.00 per litre for both petrol and diesel across the country,” the NPRA said in the statement.

The authority also sought to reassure the public that petroleum products are adequately stocked nationwide.

It urged petroleum marketing companies and fuel dealers to comply strictly with the approved pricing structure, warning that violations would attract legal penalties.

“Any dealer found hoarding petroleum products or selling above the approved price will face the full penalties prescribed by law,” the NPRA said.

The regulator said it remains committed to ensuring fair pricing, transparency and uninterrupted supply of petroleum products for consumers across Sierra Leone.
