Multi-Tech in partnership with ECOBANK Sierra Leone has on Friday 13th December, 2024 officially done the signing of their partnership in a grand launch at Aberdeen, Freetown.
Attending the auspicious occasion were a number of cabinet ministers and top business tycoons as well as other revered members as invited guests.
Delivering his statement, the Deputy Minister 1 of Energy, Dr. Taylor noted that it was no surprising for them being a party with respect to the partnership between Multi-tech and ECOBANK, adding that Multi-tech has been able to identify the bottlenecks in the energy landscape.
“And today, I want thank ECOBANK who has come forward to showcase one of its corporate social responsibilities through such a partnership with Multi-tech,” Dr. Taylor averred. He further entreated both Multi-tech and Ecobank to closely work with the Ministry of Energy so as to march up with government policies and programs to light up the whole country.
The Deputy Minister 2 of Energy, Edmond Nonie, mentioned that the energy sector was an exciting sector, adding that over five years, there was going to be over billion dollars invested in the energy sector.
“The political leadership of this country has taken energy very seriously. Right now, across West Africa, there is energy pandemic with significant deficits for other countries to provide affordable energy for their people,” Mr Nonie lamented.
Victor Williams, a senior banker at ECOBANK, submitted, among other things, that ECOBANK was there to assist with finance to help facilitate going through the system as with affordable solar energy system, it would cut spending for particularly SMEs, adding that if a customer wants to enhance his/her payment process for Multi-tech energy, ECOBANK is the answer.
Climaxing the all important event, Chief Executive Officer of Multi-tech, Hussein Sharaffdeen, thanked the team at ECOBANK for making energy accessible to all as he announced the groundbreaking partnership between Multi-tech and ECOBANK with a view to drive positive change not only for their partnership but also for the economy.
“I wish to thank customers for their support and i therfore call on our valued customers to take advantage of the options available at Multi-tech in order to make positive use of solar energy,” CEO Hussein concluded.
Symbolic signing of the partnership agreement between Multi-tech and ECOBANK Sierra Leone as well as the cutting of cake was done.
