M.R. Distilleries has reaffirmed its commitment to national development and road safety by donating branded T-shirts and caps to the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA). The symbolic handover took place on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the SLRSA Headquarters on Kissy Road in Freetown.
Representing the company, Public Relations Officer Mr. Mohamed Kamara said the donation is part of M.R. Distilleries’ corporate social responsibility, particularly in promoting safer roads across the country.
“We recognize the critical role the SLRSA plays in safeguarding lives on our roads,” Kamara stated. “This donation is our modest contribution to enhance the visibility of road safety messages and to demonstrate our solidarity in the fight to reduce road accidents and raise public awareness.”
Officials from the SLRSA warmly received the items and expressed appreciation for the continued partnership. They noted that the branded materials would be used during nationwide awareness campaigns and community outreach efforts to promote responsible road use and traffic safety.
This donation is the latest in a series of initiatives that reflect growing collaboration between private companies and public institutions to tackle pressing societal issues.
