LEONCEM Distributes School Supplies to Vulnerable Children in Cline Town

More News

Cement manufacturer LEONCEM has donated school materials to 170 vulnerable pupils in Cline Town as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, officials said on Saturday.

The beneficiaries, drawn from primary and secondary schools in the community, received the items during a ceremony attended by local leaders, parents, and representatives from both the governing SLPP and the opposition APC.

Hon. Princess Kadie Daramy and Councillor Tejan Jalloh led the distribution on behalf of community stakeholders. Speakers, including constituency chairpersons from both political parties, thanked LEONCEM for the support and urged residents to prioritise development over political divisions.

Community representatives and parents praised the gesture, saying the assistance would help ease the financial pressure on families struggling to keep their children in school.

Speakers also stressed the importance of unity, noting that while politics may shift, the community’s needs remain constant.
