Four Remanded in Alleged Fraud Case

More News

Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah of Pademba Road Court No. 1 yesterday ordered four men into remand over an alleged conspiracy to commit fraud.

The accused — Alhaji Sesay, Vidal Mansaray, Francis Sesay, and Sheku Goba — appeared in court on charges of conspiring with unknown individuals to commit a felony in the Freetown Judicial District between 15th April 2025 and an unspecified later date.

Defence counsel, including M.A. Conteh for the first accused and I.F. Sawaneh with A. Freeman for the others, applied for bail, arguing that their clients are Sierra Leoneans with fixed addresses, have no intention of interfering with prosecution witnesses, and will attend all court proceedings.

However, Magistrate Jah denied the bail applications, ruling that the accused be held in custody until evidence is heard. The matter was adjourned for further hearing.
