A. The Lahai Standard: A Non-Negotiable Criterion for National Leadership
The future of Sierra Leone demands leadership characterised by unwavering integrity, demonstrable capacity, and a deep commitment to verifiable transformation. For years, the focus of national integrity advocacy has centred on dismantling the systemic rot of corruption, particularly the abuse of academic credentials by high-ranking officials to secure and maintain power. This movement was borne out of a necessity to impose a standard of ethics where none existed, ensuring that those who govern the nation are genuinely qualified and morally clean.
The campaign against fraudulent academic structures has exacted significant personal and professional sacrifices, establishing a clear metric for evaluating competence and character in public service. This advocacy exposed the pervasive reality of corruption, highlighting cases where prominent figures used fake degrees from unaccredited “universities”. Specific, high-profile exposures included the academic fraud involving the country’s (now former) inspector general of police, Mr. Ambrose Michael Sovula, and the Former Clerk of Parliament, Umarr Paran Tarawallie. In the case of the Inspector General of Police, the investigation revealed his doctorate was conferred by the Africa Graduate University (AGU) in Uganda, an institution later determined not to be recognised, whose student body appeared suspiciously dominated solely by Sierra Leoneans.
The integrity standards established by this work were profoundly challenged by the governing Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP). It became unequivocally clear that the SLPP poses a grave threat to our national image when the Former Clerk of Parliament, Umarr Paran Tarawallie—an individual previously implicated in the academic fraud exposures—was subsequently “elected” (in a “Mende-cratically” “selection-styled” intra-party voting system—the SLPP is a tribalistic party that is not fit for purpose) to the critical position of Secretary General of the governing SLPP. This singular, unconscionable act demonstrates that the ruling party is not only corrupt and ethically bankrupt but actively protects those who have committed crimes, as the act of buying a fraudulent PhD degree is itself a criminal offence.
Furthermore, the equally morally bankrupt Commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Francis Ben Kaifala (a real SLPP “party pekin”), repeatedly chose to side with these criminals and, in effect, became their spokesperson. He challenged my verified evidence of mass corruption in high places, including the egregious “fake city” scheme whose launching he himself attended. The failure of the ACC under his leadership to protect me from the threats issued by these criminals, and its explicit choice to protect the criminals themselves, serves as undeniable proof that the SLPP, through its illegal uses of state institutions, is no longer fit to govern.
The consequence of such ethical protectionism is dire: should the SLPP be voted to remain in power in 2028, the nation will suffer from a prolonged crisis rooted in verified evidence of corruption, fraud, and the systemic incompetence of the President and most cabinet ministers. While acknowledging the professionalism of a select few, such as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Timothy Kabbah—a fine gentleman whose credentials, including a background as a petroleum engineer and diplomat, demonstrate a capacity for leadership—his chances of being elected the SLPP “Mende-Cratic” candidate are zero (the SLPP will not give the flagbearer position to a Northerner). Similarly, the Minister of Information, Chernor Bah, brings an internationally recognised background in activism and youth empowerment, but he remains a work in progress and may ultimately prove to be one of the most incompetent ministers in this administration.
This historical context demonstrates that the commitment to truth is absolute and unyielding. The integrity standard was tested rigorously, including the rejection of over $100,000 USD in bribes from various people in government who were fake degree holders. But I refused to be corrupted. This history establishes that any subsequent political judgment is fundamentally incorruptible and based purely on verifiable evidence and moral necessity.
The decision to endorse a candidate represents the culmination of this painstaking integrity work. It moves beyond merely exposing fraudulent structures to the vital, proactive step of identifying and elevating an authentic leader capable of filling the ethical and competent vacuum created by years of systemic fraud. The investigative process was designed to rigorously examine all contenders seeking to lead the All People’s Congress (APC) party. This analysis confirms that the choice of Mohamed Omodu Kamara, widely known as Jagaban, is based solely on the data and the national imperative, not personal loyalty. It must be stated clearly for the record: I, Dr John Idriss Lahai, did not take this decision lightly, and it is founded on the analytical evidence gathered. I, Dr John Idriss Lahai, have not met Jagaban and do not know him personally. The endorsement is, therefore, a product of impartial investigation, elevating it to a moral imperative for Sierra Leone’s national stability, which historically has suffered from corruption and institutional decay.
B. The Rigour of Selection: Applying Investigative Vetting to the APC Race
The methodology applied to this political vetting mirrors the rigour of the past anti-corruption campaigns, moving from exposure to proactive selection. This process hinged on three crucial pillars. First, a Deep Background Review was employed, specifically vetting the legitimacy of academic and professional claims and institutional ties—a technique honed through exposing high-ranking officials for holding fake degrees from unaccredited universities. Second, a comprehensive Content and Rhetoric Analysis was performed, designed to assess consistency, transparency, and ideological depth in public statements regarding democracy and justice, drawing parallels from analysing official discourse for signs of institutional failure and antecedents to corruption and instability. Finally, a Demonstrated Capacity Audit was essential, requiring the verification of tangible outputs such as job creation, infrastructure, and philanthropy, all independent of state funds, thereby establishing the uncompromising standard that capacity must be proven.
The identification of a leader capable of executing a national “rescue” mission necessitated an investigative methodology that transcended conventional political analysis. The primary goal was to verify genuine capacity, assess financial transparency—specifically, the source of wealth—and confirm a consistent ideological commitment to democracy and justice. This demanded looking beyond standard political rhetoric to find a candidate whose profile offered verifiable security and competence.
C. The Imperative for APC: Why Delegates Must ELECT Jagaban as Flagbearer
The APC’s road to victory in 2028 begins with a single, crucial decision: the election of a standard-bearer who can unite the party and decisively challenge the morally compromised SLPP. The imperative for electing a “Safe Guy” is heightened by Sierra Leone’s recent political turbulence, where a leader must be ELECTED who can guarantee stability, possess demonstrably clean finances, and prioritise national unity over factional discord.
The APC requires a candidate who can unite its traditional base—which enjoys strong ties to the Temne and Limba people and significant majority support in the Western Area (Freetown)—while simultaneously appealing to the broader national desire for political stability following the establishment of the U.S.-backed Tripartite Committee aimed at promoting national unity.
Mohamed Omodu Kamara, or Jagaban, embodies the necessary shift. His major business venture, Our Care Inc., was established and scaled in the USA, starting in 2011, and now employs over 350 individuals. His astute business acumen, honed in sectors ranging from healthcare to other business aspects, has catalysed economic growth in both Sierra Leone and the United States. This professional independence is paramount: his wealth and executive capacity were not derived from state contracts or patronage within the compromised local government system. This separation functions as an economic clean slate. This unique background renders him the most verifiably independent candidate, immune to the typical vulnerabilities of the local political elite.
His entry into politics only in 2020, following years of independent entrepreneurial success, allows him to position himself as an outsider reforming the party from within. This is essential for the APC, which lost power in 2018 and needs to demonstrate a clear break from past governance failures. Jagaban’s capacity is not a promise, but a proven model of large-scale, ethical job creation and management in a competitive global economy, underpinned by a public blueprint that prioritises inclusivity, transparency, and equity. For the APC delegates, electing Jagaban as flagbearer is the strategic imperative to align the party with the national demand for integrity and verifiable competence, thereby providing the necessary clean mandate to win the national election.
D. The National Mandate: Why Sierra Leone Must ELECT Jagaban as President
The ultimate verdict rests with the people of Sierra Leone, and the mandate to elect Jagaban as President is rooted in his proven capacity to deliver actual, verifiable governance, setting him apart from the current administration’s functional incompetence.
The stark choice is highlighted by the contrast with the current political elite. While Jagaban may not possess the prestigious academic credentials of the functionally incompetent Chief Minister, David Moinina Sengeh (Moinina’s performance is that of a fake TEMU product in a space that requires genuine operational standards), Jagaban has demonstrably shown through his successful, job-creating business ventures that he will do better if elected President of Sierra Leone.
The “rescue” mission is realised by replacing systemic incompetence—which masqueraded as competence through fake degrees—with documented, verifiable leadership and proven job-creation ability. Jagaban stands out as a visionary leader with a passion for transforming Sierra Leone, centred on a Triumvirate of Business, Politics, and Philanthropy, which offers a comprehensive model for national renewal based on prosperity, inclusivity, and sustainable development.
A true leader begins the work of governance before assuming office. Jagaban’s philanthropic track record serves as a strategic simulation of his proposed national policy, focused squarely on empowerment, unity, and sustainable development.
I, Dr John Idriss Lahai, contend that his pre-mandate leadership offers quantifiable proof of his commitment to national progress:
— Pioneering Infrastructure and Connectivity:
Jagaban has gone beyond mere promises by publicly committing to buy and hand over a modern ferry to the people of Sierra Leone. This focus on critical transport infrastructure, paid for and gifted by a private citizen, demonstrates an executive focus on national connectivity that transcends political budget cycles.
— Fostering National Unity and Traditional Trust:
His open-hearted approach respects people of all faiths, actively reaching out to assist both Muslims and Christians. A significant leadership indicator was his visit to the Council of Pastors in Grafton, Western Rural, where he pledged NLe 250 million to support their initiatives. Furthermore, the decision by traditional royal households in the Western Area to crown him a Chief (a member of their traditional royal households) provides a powerful, grassroots validation of his character and national acceptance, distinguishing him from politicians whose authority is purely partisan.
— Commitment to Grassroots Economic Empowerment:
His programmes extend to delivering immediate financial relief and sustainable economic opportunities at the community level. This includes providing general welfare support, free medical support, food distribution drives, agricultural projects, and, crucially, offering soft loan packages and financial support for trades. This demonstrates a deep focus on improving the quality of life and creating job opportunities in the absence of government support.
— Investing in Human Capital and Skills:
Recognising the transformative power of education, Jagaban champions scholarship initiatives to empower youth. A concrete example of this targeted investment is the donation made to the Women’s Vocational Training Centre on Kinghamman Road in October 2023. This included NLe 200,000 for student fees, brand-new computers, tailoring machines, and various kitchen utensils. This focus on vocational skills development directly aligns with the national requirement to tailor education to identified economic growth sectors, ensuring youth are workforce ready.
His commitment to implementing visionary plans that prioritise inclusivity, transparency, equity, and strengthening democratic institutions directly addresses the underlying causes of political instability. This is the realisation of the rescue theme: a strategic plan built on proven capacity, making him the only leader capable of steering Sierra Leone into a future defined by dignity and development. The people of Sierra Leone must elect him to make this reality.
E. A Pledge for Tomorrow: Mobilising for Victory
This comprehensive investigation into Mohamed Omodu Kamara (Jagaban) concludes with a clear and definitive mandate: he is the imperative choice to lead the All People’s Congress and rescue Sierra Leone. The evidence is derived from the same rigorous, integrity-driven standards used to expose corruption at the highest levels of government. His independence, his proven executive capacity through the employment of over 350 people, and his strategic pre-mandate focus on unity and human capital development demonstrate a commitment to national transformation that is verifiable and untainted.
The APC party delegates are urged to recognise the clarity and necessity of this choice and elect him as flagbearer. Thereafter, the Sierra Leonean electorate must decisively elect him as President. They must elect a standard-bearer whose actions precede his ambition, a verifiable leader whose background offers the necessary safety from historical cycles of clientelism and mismanagement. Jagaban is not a hope built on political rhetoric; he is a strategic plan built on proven capacity.
In light of these definitive findings, I, Dr John Idriss Lahai, declare that my commitment is absolute. The verdict of conscience demands full engagement in the ensuing political process. This is the solemn pledge to the nation: I’m throwing my hat into the ring for him; and I will make sure once elected flagbearer, I will do my best to get him elected president. Mohamed Omodu Kamara (Jagaban) embodies the commitment, action, and progress required to elevate Sierra Leone into a future defined by dignity and development.
Sincerely,
Dr John Idriss Lahai
