The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has donated 40 tablets to the Phytosanitary Control Unit of the Crops Division in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS).
This initiative aims to modernize pest surveillance and response systems by enhancing real-time data collection, pest detection, and reporting capabilities.
The handover ceremony took place on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the Ministry’s conference hall on the first floor of the Youyi Building in Freetown.
