Sierra Leonean rapper Alhaji Amadu Bah, known as King Boss LA, has issued a public apology to the mayor of Kenema and residents of the eastern city following a public outburst in which he used offensive language, according to a statement on Thursday.
In a statement dated April 9, the artist apologised to Kenema Mayor Thomas Karimu Baio, the people of Kenema and the wider Sierra Leonean public, expressing regret over his conduct during an incident in Bo.

He said his remarks “fell short of the respect and unity expected” of him in his role as a peace ambassador and accepted full responsibility for his actions.
King Boss LA said he had no intention of causing division or undermining the dignity of the mayor, and appealed for forgiveness from those offended.
He pledged to promote peace, respect and national cohesion going forward.
The apology follows a reported emotional outburst during a public appearance in Bo City, where he allegedly directed vulgar language at the Kenema mayor.
