Sierra Leone’s First Lady Fatima Bio on Saturday honoured the certification of 450 health workers, reaffirming her commitment to supporting reforms in the country’s health sector.

Speaking at the ceremony, Bio commended the newly certified health professionals for completing their training and described their graduation as a boost to efforts aimed at improving healthcare delivery across the country.

She said strengthening human resources in the health sector remained central to ongoing reform efforts and pledged continued support for initiatives designed to expand access to quality healthcare services.

The certified health workers are expected to be deployed to various health facilities across Sierra Leone to support service delivery and improve patient care outcomes.

Officials said the programme forms part of broader efforts to address staffing gaps and enhance capacity within the national health system.
