( – Liberia men’s national team coach Mohammed Adil Erradi says he has a detailed understanding of Sierra Leone’s squad as he prepares his side for upcoming international friendlies against their West African neighbours.
The Moroccan coach, who was recently appointed to lead Liberia’s national team, said his immediate focus is on the two friendly matches against Sierra Leone as part of preparations for future Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaigns.
“We have to define our objectives and prepare well for our game against Sierra Leone,” Erradi said. “I know the Sierra Leone team. I know the players.”

His comments suggest Liberia will approach the matches with a clear tactical plan, having closely studied a Sierra Leone side that includes several players based in Europe and elsewhere abroad.
The neighbouring countries are scheduled to meet in a pair of FIFA international friendlies on June 6 and June 9, with the matches serving as important preparation for upcoming competitive fixtures.
Erradi officially began work with the Lone Star following his appointment in May and has named his first squad since taking charge. The former APR FC coach has been tasked with improving Liberia’s competitiveness and guiding the team toward qualification for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 47-year-old holds a UEFA Pro Licence and built his reputation in Rwanda, where he guided APR FC to three consecutive league titles and a national-record unbeaten run.
For Sierra Leone, the friendlies provide an opportunity for coach Mohamed Kallon to assess his squad ahead of future international assignments, with players such as Mohamed Buya Turay, Mustapha Bundu and Momoh Kamara among those recently involved with the national team.
