For Damaging lawyer’s structure… 2 Sent to Prison

Mohamed Barrie who was sentenced to 1 year for impersonating as lawyer, was again dragged to Court before magistrate Mark Ngegba of the Pademba Road Court No.2 by lawyer Hindolo Moiwo Gevao for damaging his “pan body” structure and also for alleged trespass into the land of Professor Dr. Sahr M. Gevao and Mrs. Juliete Gevao.

However, he was charged together with Mohamed Conteh.

The accused persons Mohamed Barrie and Mohamed Conteh made their first appearance before magistrate Mark Ngegba on two counts of Alleged Trespass Contrary to Section 15 (1) (B) of the Public Order Act No. 46 of 1965 and Malicious Damage Contrary to Section 51 of the Malicious Damage Act 1861.

According to the charge sheet on count 1, both accused Mohamed Barrie and Mohamed Conteh on Tuesday 7th July 2020 at Rotter Street off Regent Road Freetown did unlawfully entered into the land of Professor, Dr. Sahr M. Gevao and Mrs. Juliete Gevao when required not to do so.  On count 2 both accused Mohamed Barrie and Mohamed Conteh on Tuesday 7th July 2020, at Rotter Street off Regent Road Regent in Freetown, maliciously damaged one erected “pan body” structure valued seven million eight hundred thousand Leones property of lawyer Hindolo Moiwo Gevao.

 No plea was taken and also no legal representation was made on their behalf and therefore both accused were remanded in custody until 30th July 2020. ASP Hawa Williams is prosecuting the matter.
