Bio is being held at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) headquarters in Freetown after being taken into custody earlier this week, according to the reports. Authorities have not publicly disclosed the reasons for her detention, and no formal charges have been announced.
Bio is a prominent online figure associated with the “Bragalicious” movement and has built a large following on social media, where she is known for her outspoken commentary and high-profile online presence.
Her reported detention has drawn widespread attention online, with reactions ranging from calls for due process to broader discussions about accountability and the role of public figures in Sierra Leone.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is the Sierra Leone Police’s main investigative arm, responsible for handling serious criminal cases.
Detentions involving high-profile individuals often attract significant public interest in Sierra Leone, where issues of governance, transparency and the rule of law remain central to public debate.
