Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, a leading contender for the All People’s Congress (APC) flagbearer position, on Friday signed the Book of Condolence for the late Honourable Ernest Dura Koroma at the State Hall in Sierra Leone’s Parliament Building, Freetown.

The ceremony brought together APC members, parliamentarians, family, and friends who gathered to honour the late lawmaker’s service and legacy.

Hon. Koroma, who served in the Sixth Parliament of the Second Republic under the APC ticket, was remembered as a dedicated public servant committed to improving the lives of his constituents and strengthening democratic governance.

In his remarks, Dr. Bangura extended condolences to Hon. Koroma’s family and the APC, describing his death as “a great loss not only to the party but to Sierra Leone as a whole.”

“Honourable Ernest Dura Koroma was a man of principle and purpose. His contribution to governance and community development will forever be remembered,” Bangura said.

Party members and mourners described the late MP as a humble and selfless leader whose legacy of service and integrity will continue to inspire others.

The signing of the Book of Condolence served as a moment of unity and reflection for the APC, as tributes continued to pour in celebrating Hon. Koroma’s life and dedication to public service.
