Cotton FC in Benin has defeated Bo Ranger by 0-1 in the Waest Africa Championship cup hosted in Guine Conakry. Bo Rangers (on loan) midfield maestro Samuel Bekoe won the man-of-the-match award following his brilliant performance during the match. Prior to the final on Sunday, Bo Rangers had won its past two matches in the tournament, winning against Horoya AC 4-3 on post-match penalties after match had ended 1-1 in normal time.
The Elephant Boys then went ahead to defeat ASM. Sangaredi by 2-0 in their second match. The 2022/2023 Sierra Leone Premier League Champions however fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat against Beninese club champions Cotton FC in a fascinating encounter.
Meanwhile, Bo Rangers will be returning home to prepare for their back-to-back clash against LISCR FC of Liberia in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League first preliminary rounds. The first leg is scheduled for 19th August 2023 and will be hosted at the Southern Arena, while the return leg will be played eight days after at the SKD Sports Complex in Monrovia, Liberia.
