It’s time to acknowledge that women deserve justice, not exploitation for political gain. A nation that fails to safeguard its daughters in educational institutions cannot genuinely claim to protect them in government positions.
The prevalence of abuse of power, intimidation, and unfair treatment in higher institutions is alarming. No student should ever feel that academic success is contingent upon pleasing those in authority rather than earning it through hard work and merit. Such conduct erodes confidence in education and deprives deserving young women of opportunities.
It’s even more disturbing when individuals who have benefited from systems of intimidation present themselves as champions of women during election campaigns. Women should never be treated as mere campaign tools while their dignity, rights, and opportunities are ignored.
Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara’s leadership vision is distinct. His campaign is built on the principles of the rule of law, accountability, equal opportunity, and respect for human dignity. As a lawyer and former Attorney General, he has consistently advocated for justice, the protection of rights, and the importance of strong institutions.
The future of Sierra Leone depends on leaders who believe that every woman deserves to study without fear, work without discrimination, and lead without intimidation. Women don’t need empty promises; they need justice, protection, and equal opportunities.
The question before every Sierra Leonean is simple: will we reward the politics of exploitation or choose leadership founded on integrity, justice, and respect for women?
Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara’s vision is not about using women during campaigns; it’s about building a Sierra Leone where every girl can dream, every woman can succeed on merit, and every citizen is protected by the law.
