( – Sierra Leone police have declared a man wanted in connection with alleged fraud, money laundering and related offences, as investigators widen a probe that has also drawn in a relative of President Julius Maada Bio, according to police notices and local media reports.

Police identified the suspect as Dauda Dauzy Jalloh, also known as Alhaji Dausy. A wanted notice issued by the Sierra Leone Police said he is being sought over allegations including conspiracy to defraud and obtaining money by false pretences.
Jalloh is reported to be the husband of Admire Bio, a relative of President Julius Maada Bio, who has also been under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Local media reports said Admire Bio has remained in police custody while assisting investigators in an alleged fraud case involving foreign nationals. Authorities have not publicly released full details of the allegations or announced any formal charges against her.
According to reports, investigators are examining claims linked to an alleged gold transaction involving foreign businessmen, with the value of the disputed deal reported by local media at between $220,000 and $300,000. The allegations remain under investigation and have not been tested in court.
Police have appealed to the public to provide information that could lead to Jalloh’s arrest, urging anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to contact law enforcement authorities.
The Sierra Leone Police said investigations are continuing and that due process will be followed as the case progresses.
The case has attracted significant public attention because of Admire Bio’s reported family connection to President Bio. The presidency has not publicly commented on the investigation, while police have maintained that the inquiry is being handled through normal criminal procedures. Reports indicate that authorities intensified efforts to locate Jalloh after he failed to make himself available for questioning in connection with the ongoing probe.
Under Sierra Leonean law, individuals under investigation are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
