The All Peoples Congress (APC) has officially announced that rerun ward elections will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen internal democratic processes within the party.
In a public notice issued by the party’s National Secretariat under the authority of National Secretary General Lansana Dumbuya, Esq., members and the general public were informed that details of the specific wards and polling centers for the rerun will be republished on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
The APC urged all stakeholders, including aspirants, party officials, and supporters, to adequately prepare and strictly adhere to the provisions of the APC Constitution (2022) and established electoral guidelines governing internal elections.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and credibility, the party emphasized that the rerun elections will be conducted in a free, fair, and orderly manner. The Secretariat also called on all participants to demonstrate discipline and uphold the integrity of the process.
The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) and the Sierra Leone Police have been duly notified to provide the necessary oversight and security, ensuring a peaceful electoral exercise.
The APC appealed for full cooperation from its membership to guarantee the success of the rerun elections across the affected wards.
