The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) said on Wednesday that its executive committee has approved the appointment of members to the Finance Committee and the Youth Football Committee, as part of efforts to strengthen governance and accelerate football development nationwide.
In a statement, the SLFA said the appointments are aimed at improving financial oversight, enhancing transparency and reinforcing structures responsible for the growth of youth football across the country.
The Finance Committee will be tasked with overseeing financial management and ensuring compliance with established accounting and governance standards, while the Youth Football Committee will focus on the development of grassroots and youth football programmes.
The association said the move aligns with its broader reform agenda to improve administrative efficiency and promote sustainable development of the game in Sierra Leone.
The SLFA did not immediately disclose the full list of appointed members or the duration of their mandates.
