Bo Rangers (on loan) midfield maestro Samuel Bekoe won the man-of-the-match award following his brilliant performance during the match. Prior to the final on Sunday, Bo Rangers had won its past two matches in the tournament, winning against Horoya AC 4-3 on post-match penalties after match had ended 1-1 in normal time. The Elephant Boys then went ahead to defeat ASM. Sangaredi by 2-0 in their second match. The 2022/2023 Sierra Leone Premier League Champions however fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat against Beninese club champions Cotton FC in a fascinating encounter. Meanwhile, Bo Rangers will be returning home to prepare for their back-to-back clash against LISCR FC of Liberia in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League first preliminary rounds. The first leg is scheduled for 19th August 2023 and will be hosted at the Southern Arena, while the return leg will be played eight days after at the SKD Sports Complex in Monrovia, Liberia.
Communication minister Visits Orange’s Digital Center

Welcomed by CEO Sekou Amadou Bah and the dedicated Orange staff, the Minister got a firsthand look at the Orange center’s innovative technological space in Freetown. The Orange Digital Center, a beacon of technological innovation in Sierra Leone, offers a plethora of possibilities for the country’s digital future. The Minister’s tour highlighted the center’s potential in propelling Sierra Leone to the forefront of digital innovation. The Orange Digital Center will provide state-of-the-art facilities with free access for all, reinforcing our strong ambition to democratize digital access for young people All programs of the ODC are provided free-of charge and open to everyone. The programs include a variety of digital training for young people, guidance to address project bearers, start-up acceleration and 90% of all the trainings are practical. Working as a network, the Orange Digital Centers allows experiences and expertise to be shared between countries and offer a simple and inclusive approach to improve young people’s employability, encourage innovative entrepreneurship and promote the local digital ecosystem. The Center in Sierra Leone is fully operational and equipped to host several digital trainings and events. In addition, Orange Sierra Leone, in partnership with universities, will train students for free and roll out Orange Digital Center Clubs, extensions of the Orange Digital Center within some universities in the regions. Thus, it will complement the education system to give as many people as possible access to new technologies and support them in using these technologies to their full extent.
39 Years-Old-Man Granted Le 50m Bail for Carrying Offensive Weapon to Internal Affairs Ministry
By Feima Sesay Thirty-nine years old Foday Allieu Alias King Big fish was on Monday 14th August 2023 granted bail in the sum of 50 million new Leones by Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No.1 for carrying offensive weapon to the Ministry of Internal Affairs without reasonable excuse. The accused was charges with two count of Carrying offensive weapon without lawful authority or reasonable excuse contrary to section 16 (1) of the Public Order Act No.46 of 1965 and disorderly behavior contrary to section 12 of the public order Act No.46 of 1965 as amended by Section 12 (a) of Act No.15 of 1973 According to the particulars of offence, the accused on the 10th July, 2023 at Gloucester Street in Freetown was found Carrying offensive weapon in a public place to wit machetes(cutlass) without lawful authority or reasonable excuse. Whiles count two, added that the accused on the same and place did behave in a disorderly manner According to a brief fact by the police, the accused person at about 10:20 hours was arrested by one Alusine Kpaka and brought to the CID in the grounds that he went to ministry of internal Affairs, immigration building, Gloucester street Freetown Carrying offensive weapon. When the charges were read and explained to the accused person, he pleaded not guilty on both count charges. The accused on his first appearance sometimes in July he was referred to the kissy mental home for examination. The prosecutor inspector Sellu TAP informed the bench that he has sent a subpoena to the medical doctor at the Kissy Mental home in respect of the accused. Meanwhile Magistrate Ngegba granted the accused person bail in the sum of fifty thousand new Leones with one surety in like sum surety must be resident in the western area and should produce valid identity card depicting his or her address in Freetown. Adding that the bail to be approved by the Deputy assistant Registrar whiles the matter was adjourned to the 29th August 2023 for further hearing.

H.E Bio Speaks Tough to All Ministers
